Programme overview

Ever wondered how a busy junction handles hundreds of trains or what happens when there’s a track fault? This simulation introduces you to signalling at Network Rail. You’ll learn to solve rail puzzles, manage emergencies, and keep the country moving safely. Whether you want an apprenticeship or a degree, see how signalling can be your ticket to a high speed career.

What's included

This Career Simulation won’t just be us explaining signalling to you: you’ll be getting stuck in with quizzes and a task to use your quick thinking on a real life track emergency! You’ll learn how to follow safety rules and manage a busy junction when a broken rail is reported, and practice how to keep the rest of the network moving safely. Once you’ve finished you’ll get a certificate for your CV and LinkedIn to show employers that you’re ready to be a future signaller.
